Alex Calder
"It's alive!" Step aside Baron Victor Von Frankenstein, there's a new genius in town. Alex Calder brings a variety of talents to the Angel City Air team, one of which is creator of "Franken-Scanner."
Like the well-known monster, Alex built from wood, wires, speakers and electronics a six-scanner, user-friendly frequency monitoring system he affectionately nicknamed Franken-Scanner. The system allows the user easy access to all Police, Fire, Highway Patrol, Coast Guard and other agencies in the Southern California area.
Alex didn't stop there; he's also responsible for the creation and implementation of an exclusive web-based information sharing software (nicknamed "HAL" after the infamous supercomputer from the 1968 science fiction film 2001: A Space Odyssey) enabling stealth communications between the news helicopters and the assignment editors at the news station. If that wasn't enough, Alex developed an online video archive system that streamlines the search for a specific video clip with only a few clicks of a computer mouse.
Alex continues to create innovative ways of improving current technologies in order to offer the very best service to all Angel City Air clientele. If you are a highly motivated, talented individual interested in the exciting career of TV/Video Aerial Production, Angel City Air would like to hear from you.
