Spend a day at Angel City Air and you will soon discover an employee who's the heartbeat of the company. He is Carston Bell, Director of Aerial Photography.

Carston comes through for Angel City Air, time after challenging time, when a glitch occurs within an ENG rack, a gyro-stabilized camera system, or any other component that draws power in a helicopter.

Carston is constantly on the move, from designing state-of-the-art ENG packages to repairing microwave transmitter pods to coordinating production rentals to shooting fabulous HD aerials. And when breaking news happens, Carston is ready at a moments notice to take on the challenges of covering the biggest stories in the Los Angeles market.

With one of the brightest minds in the industry, Carston is constantly on the prowl to find the very best equipment available for the needs of our clients. He considers all angles of attack when tackling difficult tasks and always finds a way to deliver an excellent product. You can see examples of his work by peering through the windows of two of our newest helicopters in our fleet, N1231A and N91NE.

Carston's abilities take him far beyond the design and development side of Angel City Air; he also does the bulk of the Aerial Production Photography for the company. His most recent aerial work includes the Discovery Channel's "Extreme Loggers" and "Dirty Jobs," and MTV's "The Hills." Carston's skill with the camera has earned him two Emmy Awards, one in 2004 for his work on the Documentary, "Voices of the Monument," and one for Breaking News Team Coverage for KCBS of the Jet Blue Emergency Landing in 2005. You can find his impressive list of successful production shoots on the popular industry website IMDb.com.

Angel City Air applauds and celebrates Carston Bell as this month's, "Employee of the Month."
